My New Years Resolutions!
It's funny because I obviously meant to write this a couple of weeks ago...just after the new year but I have been far too busy!
Here they are:
1. Spend less time checking/reading other people's livejournal's/blogs/etc. I don't think I overdo it...but I do find when I need a break from editing, etc instead of going for a walk or reading a book I'll go find someone's blog....and the fact is, I don't like most people's blogs. They are usually either used for complaining, self promoting or both (not saying mine is any different mind you)...so, as a result I either get jealous of someones accomplishments or feel better about myself if someone's situation seems more pathetic than mine LOL...either way, it's brain rot. Those rare, heartfelt entries from someone just needing an outlet are what make it worthwhile, I've had a few of those here myself about my Dad, CNE, etc where you just need to get something off your chest and for that reason I enjoy having a blog myself but as far as other people's go, I need to cut down on my journal habit LOL!!!
2. Find time to go swimming on a regular basis. I make this one every year since living in the US and every year it never happens. Didn't bother me so much when I had waterbondage. I am a fish, I need to be in water...and I'm getting older so I need to start doing some exercise LOL!
3. Ignore the telephone/e-mail/etc when I am doing something not work related, etc. For example, spending time with my man at night should be just that. At CNE I answered e-mail all hours of the night, I still do it now (for Twisted Factory) but I am getting much better about the phone, etc, especially when I want to be with Hubby. Basically this resolution is not about working less but rather, when I do have something non-work related planned I should keep it that without interruption.
Take care,
Chanta
